Bruce R. Reed, PhD, a professor of neurology at University of California Davis and staff psychologist for the Department of Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System, is the principal investigator for the UCD-Martinez California Alzheimer's Disease Center. He is a recognized expert in the assessment and management of dementing illness and has published over 100 articles in the field. His interests include understanding how vascular disease contributes to dementia, the measurement of cognitive function in old age, especially in minority elders, and how cognitive reserve and other lifetime factors make us more or less susceptible to dementia.
