CADC Tip Sheets: Safe Community Engagement for Older Adults

Tip sheets that cover three key areas: Social Isolation, COVID Safety, and Community Safety.  Each tip sheet includes actionable tips and suggestions for older adults on how to engage or re-engage safely in the community.  These resources are designed for distribution either in print or electronically and are available for download below.  Prepared by the UCSF Center for Aging in Diverse Communities in collaboration with the CADC Community Advisory Board (May 2023).

The Impact of COVID-19: Multiethnic Older Adults and the Community-Based Organizations Serving Them, Policy Implications

A policy brief that describes how the COVID-19 pandemic and need to shelter-in-place magnified existing inequities for older adults in the community and how Community-Based Organizations have stepped up to help during this crisis.  The report proposes policy recommendations to overcome the digital divide, increase food security, decrease social isolation and address mental health needs, and promote disaster preparedness and community partnerships. Prepared by the Center for Aging in Diverse Communities (CADC) and the Multiethnic Health Equity Research Center (MERC) at UCSF (March 2021).
